JOB SUMMARY:
The registered nurse (RN) at Pike County Memorial Hospital functions under the direct supervision of the Department Director/House Supervisor. Responsibilities of the RN include assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all patient care activities within the department. The RN supervises and gives individualized patient care and provides a full range of professional nursing care to assigned patients. Care is provided to any age range of patients and individualized according to principles of growth and development to include age variations in assessment, motor development, and psychological milestones. Individualized care is also given with variations to include safety issues and specific guidelines according to variations in age of the patients. The RN accepts responsibility for co-workers' direction in the implementation of care plans. Other duties are performed as assigned throughout the hospital and community within the RN's scope of service.
EDUCATION/WORK REQUIREMENT:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an ADN, diploma, BSN, or higher education degree. Previous experience preferred.
LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Missouri.
Current CPR certification.
